In a move that reflects the depth of the growing cooperation between Morocco and Ghana, Samuel Okudzito Aplaco, Ghanaian Foreign Minister, announced that the Kingdom of Morocco has provided a free grant of 2000 tons of fertilizers to Ghana, which farmers in this African country will benefit from, in addition to Rabat’s commitment to technical support in order to build a modern fertilizer production factory in Ghana.

The Ghanaian diplomat himself, in a tweet on his official page on the “X” website (formerly Twitter), confirmed that important serious agreements on the sidelines of his recent visit to Morocco, which included doubling the number of scholarships for Ghanaian students from 70 to 140 scholarships annually; In addition to training the Ghanaian youth to become pilots at the prestigious Morocco Academy to train pilots, in the framework of President Mohamed Dramani’s readiness to re -set up Ghanaian airlines.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Akra government pointed to the signing of an agreement related to an educational exchange program that will allow Moroccan youth to follow their studies at Ghana Naval University and other universities, stressing at the same time the organization of a large business forum next October in Morocco, to enable Ghanaian companies to cooperate with their Moroccan counterparts, as well as defining priority projects in the areas of expanding seaports, developing railways, producing textiles and making medicines.

The granting of free fertilizers that Morocco offers to a group of countries, especially African countries, reflects deep human and strategic dimensions, as the Kingdom of Morocco’s commitment to promoting continental food security and assisting partner and friendly countries in facing the various challenges facing agricultural sectors, especially climate change and high prices for agricultural materials in the global market; This affected production in a number of countries.

Experts confirmed, earlier to the electronic newspaper Hespress from Rabat, that Morocco is betting on such strategies to build confidence with countries and enhance cooperation with them within the framework of the so -called “phosphate diplomacy”, which they considered to be a key to consolidating relations and trade exchanges between countries in order to achieve common interests, stressing the success of this Moroccan approach in the African continent.

This free grant, in addition to the agreements signed between Rabat and Ekra, indicates that the Ghanaian Moroccan relations have entered a new turn and a qualitative transformation, especially after Ghana announced its support for the territorial integrity of Morocco, in a move that received a Moroccan welcome as it ended years of previous support for the Polisario Front, as it is expected that this new position will pave the way for the two countries to develop their political and economic relations and open Wide prospects for their bilateral partnership to include various fields.
