More than G. 270 million at Family Agriculture Fairs are collected

The fairs organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG) this Thursday, generated income by G. 270,722,500, directly benefiting 1,369 rural families, distributed in 60 organizations.


The small producers come from the departments of Cordillera, Itapúa, Alto Paraná, Canindeyú, Central, Caaguazú, San Pedro, Caazapá and Paraguarí, and are assisted through the Directorate of Marketing and the Directorate of Agrarian Extension/Pima.

In search of commercialization channels of the products of family agriculture and direct sale without intermediaries, MAG communicated the successful culmination of the fairs in three points enabled for sales on the waterfront in Asunción; in the Marketing Directorate, City of San Lorenzo and on the esplanade of Channel 13 and Unicanal, in Lambaré.

On this occasion, buyers accessed fresh and quality products at fair prices, which included Paraguay cheese, pork, piglet, goat, sheep, homemade chicken, duck, homemade egg, corn and cornmeal.

Also poroto red, honey, peanuts, beans peak butter, beans, bean peky, starch, tomato, pepper, cassava, sweet potato, green, seasonal fruits, grains in general, crafts, flowers and plants, among others.
