More than 70 new certificates of foreign investments were registered by Paraguay in the third quarter of the year

From the Directorate of Investments and Special Regimes, they indicated that between July and September 2025, 74 certificates of foreign investors were registered, with a committed amount of approximately USD 6 million, reflecting the continuity of international interest in the Paraguayan market.

The investment profile shows growing diversification in the areas of business services and light manufacturing, sectors that concentrated more than 50% of the foreign capital landed in the period. This behavior responds to a regional trend of relocation of industries and service companies, attracted by the stable business climate, competitive costs and the country’s geostrategic position in the Southern Cone.

The origin of the capital reaffirms the economic integration of Paraguay with the region, since 50% of the investments come from Mercosur countries and their immediate surroundings. Brazil once again consolidates itself as the main investing country, with 26 registered projects, followed by Bolivia, Argentina, Uruguay and Chile. In this group, the sectors with the greatest participation were industry, construction and agriculture, reflecting a renewed interest in taking advantage of the national productive and logistical potential.

For their part, Europe and Eurasia contributed 35% of the projects, with a notable presence of capital from Spain, Russia, Poland, Turkey and Ukraine, while North America and Asia represented the remaining 15%.

This distribution reveals growing extra-regional interest in the country, driven by its preferential access to regional markets, its macroeconomic stability and opportunities in infrastructure, logistics services and export-oriented manufacturing.

The Management pointed out that the data for the third quarter consolidate the trend observed throughout the year, Paraguay is moving towards a more diversified investment attraction model, with projects that prioritize industrialization, the generation of formal employment and the expansion of the local value chain.
