Twenty two thousand tons of cereals, legumes and vegetables were produced in the municipality of Cela, Cuanza Sul province, in the 2017/2018 agricultural year, two thousand tons more compared to the previous campaign, which represents an increase of 10%.
The information was provided to Angop today by the municipal director of the Agriculture Cell, Elias Ferreira.
The production from the aforementioned campaign served to supply the markets in Cuanza Sul and Luanda.
For the current agricultural season, farmers and farmers plan to produce 60 thousand tons of various products in an area of more than 10 thousand hectares.
The municipality of Cela has 23 thousand peasant families belonging to 44 cooperatives and 72 associations.
