More entitled to sweat for Prabowo-Gibran

JAKARTA – Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno admitted that there had been no offer to join the government of President-elect Prabowo Subianto for the 2024-2029 period. He also handed over to PPP to support the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government.

“There has been no offer to become a minister in the Prabowo-Gibran cabinet,” said Sandi, Tuesday (18/6/2024).

As a figure who once supported the Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD pair in the 2024 presidential election, he is of the view that these ministerial seats should only be given to people who have worked for Prabowo-Gibran’s victory.

“Of course, those who are more entitled to sweat are the parties who are fighting for Prabowo and Gibran,” he said.

Previously, Sandi advised PPP to support the Prabowo-Gibran government. “In my opinion, it would be better, even if you support the government, not to fix your position because you are contributing to the government. Supporting does not necessarily mean getting a position,” he said.
