The Minister of Public Works, Claudia Centurión, and the governor of Boquerón, Harold Bergen, in addition to local road associations signed a historic agreement for the maintenance of the road network.
The document will allow greater collaboration between the public and private sectors for a rapid response to road needs with the available resources, highlighted Minister Centurión.
The signing of the agreement took place within the framework of the “5th Forum of the Subnational Territories of the Capricorn Bioceanic Corridor”, which takes place from June 19 to 21 in Philadelphia, where both the head of the MOPC and other members of the Executive Branch attend.
On the occasion, they highlighted that a fundamental part of the agreement includes the development of essential machinery for road maintenance. The government and local associations will invest in these machines to ensure their operation.
In addition, resources and equipment will be shared between the entities involved, guaranteeing efficient and effective management of the work.
The agreement represents a significant step towards the continuous improvement of infrastructure conditions in the Paraguayan Chaco, to maintain an operational road network and strengthen inter-institutional cooperation, highlighted by the Ministry of Public Works (MOPC).
