Modifications to the studies to get the works on the central square going again

With three modified studies approved by a majority by the Municipal Committee, it is estimated that they will be able to go ahead again with the reconstruction projects in the central square of Ioannina

The receipt of the studies was put off the agenda and they concern the foundation of the lighting masts, the ends of the underground parking stairwells and the most important element of the architectural study that won the first prize, that of the marble hollow and the water surface with a system of in-floor jets.

The deputy mayor of works Kostas Gogos argued that these studies were necessary and the modifications were deemed necessary while they have the consent of the architects.

He expressed his optimism that with their receipt, the work will continue without any obstacles, but it is not certain that the project will be completed by January.

The project supervisor argued that these modifications will not change the architectural result, while he did not rule out the need for further application studies as the work progressed.
