Mirek Etzler does not like to give interviews, and therefore not often. But when he opens up to someone, he reveals very interesting things. For example, the fact that the actor known from family films, endless TV series and big theater roles is seriously thinking about the end of his career. And he was even already thinking about what he would replace his current professional path with. Even if he gave up acting, Miroslav Etzler’s joy in life comes from his youngest son Samuel (4), who is said to be his guardian angel. And little Sam is also the originator of the sentence that moved the actor, not only when his son said it to him, but also years later, during an interview with Blesk, when Mirek revealed it publicly for the first time.
Mirka, you are entering the stage Theaters of Radek Brzobohatý with the game And it is out! Do you remember a moment in your life when you said to yourself: So… And is it outside?
“If I remember? Every day, after all. When you get off a tram in which a person rode black.’
And do you drive?
“No, not much. But sometimes it happens. Maybe I don’t send a text in thought, and then I suddenly say to myself: Jesus Christ. Not because of the fine, but because it would be embarrassing to be dragged out there with a police officer. Every day something would be found. A person lives as best he can, but still makes a lot of mistakes. And I think that anyone who says they only do good things all day is lying.”
Who do you play in that game and what is he like?
“I’m quite glad you said what it’s called, because I never even know the name of a show. You know, I’m not very good at it. I enjoy searching in this job, and I search in exactly the same way as the audience will search when they go to the show. I don’t know what it is like. I think so, but I just think that he is such a stubborn guy who is not exactly easy to live with. I think he loves his daughter very much and would only want the best for her, but sometimes he shows it in a way that is not completely acceptable in a harmonious family. That’s all I know about him so far, and what happens next remains to be seen.”
It certainly depends on the specific performance. But it is a generally known analogy that in one theater performance an actor will release a similar amount of energy as when unloading a wagon of coal. You have been through a very challenging covid.
