The Ministry of Trade announced that 20 provinces exported over 1 billion dollars in the January-July period this year.
The Ministry of Trade announced data on export figures made by provinces in the January-July period of this year. In July this year, Istanbul ranked first with a 53.8 percent increase and $6 billion 586 million compared to the same month of the previous year. Kocaeli ranked second with a 2.5 percent decrease and $2 billion 296 million, İzmir ranked third with a 1.05 percent increase and $1 billion 808 million, Bursa ranked fourth with a 1.3 percent increase and $1 billion 277 million, and Tekirdağ ranked fifth with a 20.1 percent increase and $1 billion 135 million.
When the highest increase in exports was examined in July compared to the same month of the previous year, Istanbul came in first with an increase of 2 billion 304 million dollars, Çorum came in second with an increase of 323 million dollars, Tekirdağ came in third with an increase of 190 million dollars, Sakarya came in fourth with an increase of 153 million dollars, and Eskişehir came in fifth with an increase of 76 million dollars.
The ministry also stated that exports exceeded 1 billion dollars in the January-July period, and that exports in 51 provinces increased.
