Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Appoints a 34 Year Old Young Man as Assistant Deputy for Pioneering at the Ministry of Youth and Sports

Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Here Ariotedjo appointed Muhammad Adsan as Assistant Deputy for Youth Pioneering. Adsan is a 34 year old young man, and will handle the issue of competency development for Indonesian youth.

Minister Dito wants to provide opportunities for young people to fill strategic posts for youth development. So, the official who fills the position of Assistant Deputy for Youth Pioneers is someone who understands youth.

“If we want to develop youth, then we must appoint youth to fill these posts. “Because young people definitely know what young people’s needs are,” said Mas Minister Dito, Thursday (6/6/2024).

The Ministry of Youth and Sports looked at Adsan’s job history. Adsan, born in Palu 11 May 1990, at a young age, he became Head of the Population and Civil Registration Service, Buol Regency, Central Sulawesi (Central Sulawesi).

“Usually, the position of Kadis is held by seniors. But, when a young man becomes Kadis. So mentally he has been forged, his performance has been tested,” said Dito.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports also wants young people who serve as Assistant Deputy for Youth Pioneers to associate with Generation Z. Adsan is considered to have complete organizational experience to drive youth pioneering.

Adan is active in youth organizations. He became Secretary of the Buol Regency Pancasila Youth, Chair of the Health and Population Sector of the Buol Regency KNPI. Then he became active in humanitarian organizations and became Chairman of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Buoi Regency.

In fact, Adsan became Chairman of the JCI Buol Chapter, a supporters’ organization Juventus football club .

“We are looking for youth ‘officials’ who know youth, know the needs of youth. “So, he can easily analyze youth problems and how to develop youth,” said Mas Minister Dito.

Dito assessed that in welcoming Indonesia Gold 2045, the quality of youth needs to be prepared from now on. At that time, Indonesia will receive a demographic bonus where young people of working age will be the dominant population.

“This needs to be prepared from now. This demographic bonus is like a double-edged sword. If we fail to prepare, what will happen will be high unemployment rates. “We don’t want negative conditions to occur,” he said.
