Sílvia Lutucuta, Minister of Health, received representatives of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, WHO and UNICEF in a meeting this Friday afternoon (17), in Luanda.
This meeting served to analyze the impact of the recent polio vaccination campaign carried out in the country and the actions to be taken with a view to eradicating the virus in the country.

Michael Galway, responsible for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s support for the eradication of Polio in Africa, congratulated the country on the success of the campaign and assured that Angola can continue to count on the Foundation’s support in the fight against polio.
More than five million children were vaccinated in 15 of the country’s 18 provinces, and a new vaccination campaign against Polio is being prepared.
