Minister of Health calls for humanization in the sector

The Minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta, recalled, this Thursday (25), in Luanda, that a doctor must put the spirit of humanization on his agenda every day, with a view to improving his behavior.

The minister made this consideration when speaking at the opening session of the XII International Congress of Doctors in Angola, which takes place in the country’s capital, from the 25th to the 26th of this month, under the motto “Doctors and the creation of a favorable environment for health ”, representing the Minister of State and Economic and Social Development.

He added that it is the doctor’s obligation to preserve human life and place scientific knowledge and health technology with loyalty at the service of the patient.

“Providing emergency assistance to a patient in serious condition is a humanitarian duty”, stated minister Silvia Lutucuta, for whom “the doctor must not allow greed or profit to influence his free and independent exercise of his judgment”.

In a message, during the event, the person in charge called on hospital managers to carry out their tasks with rigor, having praised the performance of the medical profession in terms of serving the population.

Representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Angola, ecclesiastical authorities, doctors and guests were present at the event, who also visited the Hospital Fair.
