The Minister of the Interior, Juan José Santiváñez, announced that they will request one additional game this year to improve the logistics of the National Police due to the various deficiencies detected in the institution.

Likewise, Minister Santiváñez mentioned that during the first days of his administration he visited several police stations and detected deficiencies in logistics and infrastructure.

He explained that his management has ordered the standardization of weapons in the Police, for which studies are being carried out. In addition, he indicated that they are working on the procedure for the purchase of bulletproof vests.

“The president is offering us all her support; we will request an additional item for the acquisition of this logistics, which is absolutely essential,” he declared.

He also mentioned that, after the kidnapping of the businesswoman Jackie Salazarwho was rescued by the Police, are requesting the acquisition of most advanced geolocation equipmentas well as other supplies necessary for police functions.

The minister also announced the signing of an agreement with the Regional Government of La Libertad for the acquisition of 140 patrol cars, 120 motorcycles and 3,000 bulletproof vests.
