Military Service Experience for Disabled People – Last Minute

Within the scope of Disabled Persons Week in Aydın, 29 disabled people who became soldiers for a day wore camouflage and took the oath.

In the program held at the Provincial Gendarmerie Command, disabled individuals wore their camouflage and came to the ceremony area.

After a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem, the disabled people took the oath. Meanwhile, instead of some disabled people who could not salute, the soldiers next to them put their hands on their caps and saluted them.

After the ceremony, Mevlüt Uyanık read the poem “Our brave men were shot in the chest” on behalf of the disabled people, and First Lieutenant Hakan Yılmaz read the poem “We exist”.

Speaking here, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Colonel Ali Naci Aldemir said that every individual who fulfills his military service, which is considered sacred in the Turkish nation, has the happiness of carrying the rightful pride and honor of this for a lifetime.

Aldemir said, “Dear Mehmetçik, today you realized your dream. You participated in the activities of this sacred hearth and breathed its air. Even if for a short time, you experienced the pride of being a member of the strongest and most experienced army of the Republic of Turkey and its geographical region.” he said.

After the speech, soldiers and their families came together.

Aydın Gendarmerie Fleet Commander Colonel Koray Ergin and Aydın Family and Social Services Provincial Director Abdullah Kömürcüoğlu also attended the ceremony.
