According to sources in Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s office, Rome is convening an emergency meeting of G7 leaders via video call to discuss the developments sparked by Iran’s attack on Israel.
Italy, which currently holds the rotating presidency of the G7, responded to the request made earlier by US President Joe Biden and other leaders. The video call will take place in the early afternoon hours (European time).
