Michael Jackson: Why did he get rid of Bubbles the chimpanzee before he died?!

It has been 15 years since the King of Pop Michael Jackson left us. Michael, who influenced generations of listeners with his music. He died on June 25, 2009 of acute propofol intoxication. His death affected millions of fans around the world and left many unanswered questions about his personal life. One aspect of Jackson’s life that fascinated many people was his relationship with a beloved chimpanzee named Bublina.

Bublina became a part of Michael’s life in the 80s and was often seen alongside the famous singer. He was not only his pet, but also a close friend. Even so, this friendship was accompanied by many controversies. Many critics drew attention to the fact that the animal with the king of pop does not have suitable conditions, it humanizes him too much and he was even accused of cruelty. Even so, the singer took his monkey everywhere and treated it like a small child, which he dressed anyway.

In 2003, when Bublina reached adulthood and became difficult to keep as a pet in aggressive mode, Michael had to find a new home for his beloved chimpanzee. Chimpanzees have enormous strength and as animals are not suitable for domestication and can even fatally attack their keeper. Few attacks in the past have ended in death, limbs being torn off or faces being eaten away. Bubble became uncomfortable and unmanageable and was entrusted to a breeder. Two years later he was placed in Centers for great primates in Wauchula, Florida.

According to center director Patti Ragan, Bublina is now living a contented and fulfilling life as an older chimpanzee. “Bubblena has a lot of freedom in the sanctuary,” Patti Ragan told TMZ. “He explores tunnels, builds a nest under a tree, takes a nap every day and occasionally paints!”

Bublina, who is now 41 years old, is regularly checked by a vet and nurses and weighs approximately 81 kilograms. Chimpanzees in captivity typically live between 50 and 60 years, so Bublina still has many years ahead of her.

Patti Ragan describes Bubbles as a friendly chimpanzee who gets along well with visitors and other animals, including fellow chimps Oopsie, Bom, Ripley, Kodu and Stryker. “Bubbles shows no signs of past abuse,” she added, thereby assuring fans that allegations that the animal had suffered with Jackson in the past were more defamatory slander.

Interestingly, although the sanctuary occasionally plays Michael’s music and videos, Bublina shows no particular interest in her former owner’s music. Even so, a massive amount still goes into Bublin’s account from his inheritance, which covers all his expenses.

Michael Jackson’s fans also send Bublin a variety of goodies, including coconuts, mangoes, and blankets that Bublin likes to wrap himself in while resting. Michael’s lawyer and family members have tried to visit Bublina in recent years, and their encounters with the chimpanzee have always been full of sweet moments.

Although the Center for Great Apes is not planning a special commemoration of the 15th anniversary of Michael’s death, it’s clear that Bubble is still a beloved part of Jackson’s legacy. Michael would certainly be happy to know that his beloved chimpanzee is leading a happy and fulfilled life.
