Today, on Friday, June 16, 2023, the dollar is trading at 17.0915 pesos per unit, indicating a downward trend in real time. This has resulted in the appreciation of the peso. According to the Banxico registry, the spot interbank dollar closed yesterday’s session at 17.1163 pesos, which means that the peso appreciated by slightly less than one cent compared to Wednesday’s data.

Economist Gabriela Siller explains that the peso experienced a depreciation of 0.08%, equivalent to 1.4 cents. The exchange rate is currently hovering around 17.13 pesos per dollar, reaching a minimum of 17.1094 and a maximum of 17.1893 pesos per dollar.
