Mexican Paola Nuñez talks about her participation in ‘Bad Boys: Hasta la muerte’

I saw myself as an empowered woman, and maybe I’ve gotten over that point, because I’m older, but I really like action characters with all these unreal sequences, because I find it extremely fun.

And now, as you say, there are already several characters like that and I find it very funny, because, as a viewer, it is not my favorite genre, so it is not the one that I see or consume the most, but as an actress it is the one that I have enjoyed doing the most and “More than drama, I look for that, movies in which I can run, jump, have fights, explosions and weapons, because they make me feel, in addition to being indestructible, like a little girl playing,” Núñez shared in an interview with Excélsior.

The Mexican is celebrating the arrival of Bad Boys: Until Deaththe fourth installment of the saga alongside Will Smith and Martin Lawrence and she does so once again in her role as Rita Secada, who becomes the captain of the Miami police and a crucial part of this duo’s team.

And, precisely, the character exalts all the female empowerment that the Mexican always dreamed of showing on screen, only this time she will be more involved with the team and ready to save the day.

I love Rita because in this installment we see more of her human side. She is usually a rigid woman in the sense that she likes to follow the rules and that is the conflict that she always had with Michael (Smith), because she follows her heart and impulses. Here we see how she, because she is not more flexible, makes mistakes and makes wrong decisions, then she learns and it makes her mature, because that is what happens in life: one cannot be one hundred percent one thing, we have to learn to also discern. and see when you have to be objective, follow your heart and pay attention to the sixth sense that women have,” shared the 46-year-old actress.

FIRST PERSON ACTION AND IN AN ELEVATOR!

And since in this story the action was raised to a higher level, like Smith and Lawrence, Paola had to take on the challenge that directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah posed from the beginning, by adding more innovative techniques and more ingenious shots to make you feel to the public all the adrenaline of the plot.

For example, this week a first-person camera mechanism went viral that Will himself manipulated so that on the screen the handling of his gun and its detonation is in the main shot, as if it were a game of Call of Duty or any of the shooters most popular in the console universe.

While Paola had to face the challenge of creating a scene in which she fights for her life on board an elevator in full free fall.

In the end I don’t know how it turned out, because I haven’t seen the movie, so I don’t know if they edited it, but there is a scene where we are inside an elevator and the camera is going around completely above us and, also, while that happens , we are fighting.

That sequence is the one we prepare the most for, because the most important thing for the team is that we do not get hurt, and it is not the same to do it with a stuntman (stuntman), who knows perfectly well how not to get hurt, to just do it. between actors, because suddenly the same emotion makes us get injured. Without a doubt, it is the most exciting part of Rita in the new film,” she highlighted.
