A triple blow of live metal is coming next Friday, April 5, when the stage of the classic Batuta hosts “Metal Blast”, a show that brings back the decibels and aggression of thrash metal to the long-standing capital venue.
The day will be led by Nuclear, one of the most active bands on the local circuit and who return to perform on the emblematic stage after playing at the first version of “Metal Beer Fest” that took place a couple of weeks ago in Santiago and where They were sharing the stage with bands like Death To All, Criminal and Dorso.
The natives of Arica are in the middle of composing new songs for the successor to the acclaimed “Murder Of Crows” released in the middle of the pandemic. Nuclear is also fine-tuning details for its eighth European tour that will take place in the second half of this year.
The quintet had not played at La Batuta for several years, particularly since the release of their album “Jehovirus” on the board again in the classic stronghold of the Ñuñoa commune. Nuclear will also soon be performing in the city of Talca for the 2024 edition of “Talca Metal Fest” along with bands like Dogma, Suicide Nation, Akbal and others on Saturday, April 27.
For this show in Santiago, they will be accompanied by the Santiago trio Tridente, a band that has been promoting their album “Apocalipsis” for a couple of years now and who will show new compositions live at the concert. Defined as “a thrash/rock hybrid”, Tridente was playing on international stages some time ago when they accompanied the national band Sadism on their last European tour. Locally, his performances with bands such as the North American Obituary and several shows on stages in the Santiago underground circuit stand out.
Opening the fires of the night, Eternal Discord will provide attendees with a lethal display of thrash metal. The young band from Puente Alto released their EP “Sacrificio” last year where they show fast and aggressive street metal, which they will take directly to the La Batuta stage.
