Leonel Messi, Argentine star, made history this weekend, becoming the first footballer in history to directly participate in more than 1000 goals.
The Barcelona striker achieved this feat in the La Liga game against Eibar, in which he scored four goals and reached 696 career goals and approached the 700 goal mark.
Messi reached this mark as a result of his 696 goals and 305 assists, achieved over a 16-year career.
For Barcelona, the Player has scored more than 600 goals in various competitions and more than 60 goals for the Argentina national team, which he has represented on more than 100 occasions.
One of the greatest players of his time and considered by many to be the best in history, Messi won all the trophies he had to win on a personal level.
