Meghan Markle has patented the name of her daughter Lilibet

So far, so good. But with the name “Lilibet”, Meghan Markle took a certain “precaution” even before the birth of the child. The Duchess is said to have patented her name. But why?

Royal expert Angela Levin explains to “GB News”: Meghan had the names entered before she was born so she could use them to buy things and identify them. The suspicion would arise that the duchess wanted to use her daughter’s name for commercial purposes.

It should be mentioned here that “Lilibet” is the childhood nickname of the late Queen Elizabeth II (d. 96). If the name were used publicly, the Queen could be associated with it and the expert sees this as a problem: “People who don’t know about it will think that the Queen supports it and that we should buy it.”

Headlines surrounding the name “Lilibet” continue to make the rounds. It was recently reported that Meghan and Harry never asked the Queen if they could give her daughter that name. Elizabeth II was “angrier than ever” at Harry. The former monarch thundered that her name had been taken away.
