Mega Metal, one of the most important players in the European and Turkish market of the copper wire industry, will take part in the Wire Fair in Düsseldorf from April 15th to 19th. At the trade fair, which is one of the most important events in the wire and cable industry worldwide, innovations for the most diverse needs of industry and trade are presented. Mega Metal’s CEO, Cüneyt Ali Turgut, evaluated the fair and stated that the production of high added value conductive copper wire is a priority for Mega Metal, emphasizing that the technologically leading markets in this segment are Europe and America. Turgut explained that Mega Metal is the first brand when it comes to superfine conductive wire, especially in the European market, adding: “We, Mega Metal, dominate more than 70 percent of the market as the largest and strongest manufacturer of fine and superfine copper wire in Europe. We want to maintain our strong market position here and the trade fairs we take part in serve this goal. “We have sustainability on our agenda”
Cüneyt Ali Turgut explained that the focus of investments in 2024 is on sustainability, adding: “We installed a solar power plant on the roof of our factory in Kayseri. We have a power generation capacity of 6 MW here. We have also started installing two solar power plants with a total of 57 MW in Kütahya, Bilecik and Tunceli. When all of our power plants are operational in the first quarter of 2025, we aim to begin generating 85 percent of our company’s electricity consumption from renewable energy.”
