directional distractions. The Percept?? family is the only sensor-based DBS system on the market, allowing the clinician to personalize the treatment of patients with movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, dystonia* and epilepsy.

More than 11 million people in the United States live with movement disorders1-2 and approximately 3.4 million with epilepsy3. DBS uses a surgically implanted medical device, similar to a pacemaker. Medtronic Percept?®?

Neurostimulators send electrical signals through thin wires to specific brain targets affected by debilitating neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease. Perception? RC is the smallest and thinnest dual-channel++ neurostimulator available for DBS.

Does it have BrainSense? technology that captures and records brain signals to provide insights that allow a healthcare provider to adapt and personalize therapy to the patient’s changing needs. Unlike other rechargeable devices, the Percept?

The RC battery has a lifespan of at least 15 years with constant and fast charging performance. Medtronic’s patented battery technology reduces battery consumption compared to other rechargeable devices, resulting in a more reliable, long-lasting battery. SS patients can be rapidly charged from 10% to 90% full charge in less than an hour. It is estimated that nearly 70% of all patients eligible for DBS require an MRI as part of their essential care4.

Medtronic was the first in the United States to offer conditional whole-body MRI systems that allow patients to obtain safe scans anywhere on the body under specific conditions++. Perception?? offers greater scanning freedom and access for patients with 3T scans and best-in-class labeling of 1.5T MRI scans5-7. Furthermore, the Percept?
