The police in Sofia are investigating a case of beating medical students from Pakistan with English citizenship. The incident took place last night on Vitosha Boulevard in the capital, BNR reported.
At around 9pm on Friday, several young men attacked a group of students of British nationality but of Pakistani origin. Two foreigners were taken to “Pirogov” with minor injuries.
The reason for the attack is not clear. Until late last night, police teams in the capital were trying to find cameras that captured the attack.
At the moment, however, there is no information on whether any arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
Just two days ago, foreign medical students were mistaken for illegal migrants and detained by worried residents of the Rhodope village of Hrabrino.
Local residents found the foreign students suspicious and decided to arrest them without having such a right by law. According to the locals, the unknown men came out of the forest and looked disoriented. So they decided to quickly neutralize them.
However, the police established that there was no problem and that the students, who study at the Medical University in Plovdiv, were simply walking in the area.
