ASSUMPTION. The Ministry of Education and Sciences (MEC) launched a call to apply for almost 1,000 scholarships for basic and secondary education students in situations of socioeconomic vulnerability. The deadline for applications is Friday, May 31. These scholarships, aimed at Third Cycle and Secondary Education students, seek to provide annual financial support of G. 1,300,000 per student, intended for study, food and mobility expenses.
The objective is to provide these students with basic skills that allow them to improve their quality of life and access greater opportunities for personal development.
The requirements to apply include belonging to low-income families without a fixed income, being enrolled in the Single Student Registry (RUE) and being between 7 and 15 years old for the Third Cycle, and up to 18 years old for Secondary Education. In addition, there is no age limit for applicants from indigenous peoples and people with disabilities, who must present an indigenous card or an updated medical diagnosis, respectively.
The list of beneficiaries will be published in June on the official MEC website, as well as on social networks and institutional communication channels. For more information, interested parties can contact the Department of Management for the Award of Scholarships and the Department of Management and Evaluation of Scholarships in the Beckelmann Building, or contact via email [email protected] and visit the website www.mec.gov.py.
