News from Angola – Angolan striker Mbala Nzola, this Thursday, became the hero of Fiorentina’s 3-2 triumph against Club Brugge from Belgium, in the 1st leg of the Conference League semi-finals, played at the Artemio Franchi Stadium, in Florence, Italy.
The international spent six games without scoring a goal, but the Angolan was introduced into the match in the 88th minute when the score was equal to two balls and in the 90+1′ he recovered, putting the Purple Ones at an advantage in the tie, thus leading the public to delirium.
The Italian team’s other goals were scored by R. Sotil in the 5th minute and A. Belotti (37′), while Vanaken (17′) and I. Thiago (63′), playing for Club Brugge.
