Mayor of Zapotitlán is under investigation for allegedly murdering a bodyguard

PUEBLA, Pue., (apro).- After Proceso published videos in which the mayor of Zapotitlán de Méndez, Emiliano Vázquez Bonilla, appears participating in what would be an execution, Governor Sergio Salomón Céspedes Peregrina asked the councilor to “ cooperate and participate” in the investigation to determine your responsibility in this event.

“We have been aware from the first moment, the investigations are underway and of course we will go to the final consequences,” said the president when questioned about this case. “If there are responsibilities that he assumes,” he added, “we hope that the State Attorney General’s Office will soon give an account of it.”

Céspedes Peregrina said that Vázquez Bonilla would have to leave his position as soon as his responsibility is determined for the alleged murder of Ramón Malagón García, who was an escort for Salvador Tino Martínez, who was elected mayor in the June 2 elections.

“Right now he is under investigation and I hope he cooperates and participates so that a lot of transparency can be achieved in this unfortunate case,” declared the governor.

According to the residents, who provided the videos, these events were recorded on June 1, on the eve of the voting, when Vázquez Bonilla, along with his brother Higinio and several men he trusted, allegedly murdered Malagón García.

In the videos you can see when Vázquez Bonilla and the other people have García Malagón subdued on the banks of the Zempoala River, but he is still alive, then you can see when the driver is lying with his chest covered in blood and when he is taken out by the civilians from that place, pulled by all four limbs.
