Bangladeshi movie ‘Nirban’ has entered the 46th Moscow International Film Festival. The inclusion of ‘Nirvana’ in the main competition category was confirmed in the list published on the festival’s website last Tuesday. The movie is directed by Asif Islam.
Regarding the story of the movie, director Asif said, ‘Nirvana’ is a poetic exploration of human emotions. An extraordinary journey of three men in search of peace. Fatema Tuz Zohra Eva, Priyam Archie and Imran Mahathy played various roles in it.
Even though she has acted as the main face in many commercials, Eva is very excited to have her first movie in international festival. The budding actress expressed her feelings about her journey in the movie. He said, his character’s name in ‘Nirvana’ is Maya. This Maya and the person Eva are two completely different characters.
Eva said, ‘Nirvana’ Maya is older than me. I had to gain speed to bring the weight of age. Because Maya and I the person Eva are completely different. We worked in a transformer factory in Gazipur for a month. I am basically learning and making transformer core stuff. Worked with other workers by maintaining time so that we do not feel isolated. During this long period I have developed a very good bond with my co-actors, which has helped in the work as well.
Narrating some of the incidents during the shooting of the movie, the young actress said, “One interesting thing about ‘Nirvana’ is that we didn’t have any script in this movie. We were given situations and acted accordingly. But the biography of the character was strong for everyone. Asif bhai (producer) has done most of the scenes in one take. I like this very much. Because when we keep doing the same scene over and over again, it gets boring at some point.
Eva has already completed three more movies. However, the makers are not allowed to open their mouths in the media. As was the case with his first movie ‘Nirvana’. So he told about different emotions about the movie.
Eva said, Nirvana will always be in a different place in my career. In fact, each character has a different place in us. But Maya! I can’t get rid of his magic. Maya’s pain, Maya’s pain will remain with me. Hope this movie will conquer different countries even after Muscovyan. I am eagerly looking forward to seeing the movie in our country.
Meanwhile, the 46th edition of the Moscow Festival will begin on April 19 and continue until April 26. Producer Asif Islam will leave for Moscow on April 18 to attend the festival. Besides participating in the opening ceremony, he will be present in the whole event.
