Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, is the genesis of different musical talents, among them the brothers Mau and Ricky stand out.
This duo fulfilled part of their dream on the night of Friday, April 12, as they performed for the first time in Torreón, Coahuila; city that received them with great affection.
The reason for his visit was the inauguration of the Mexican Baseball League with the Algodoneros del Unión Laguna.
The field of the historic Estadio de la Revolución awaited the debut in lagoon lands of both singers, which in turn symbolized a grand closing of the game between Algodoneros and Dorados de Chihuahua.
Before going out to delight the public, from their dressing room they gave an exclusive interview with El Siglo de Torreón.
From the beginning of the meeting they showed their joy and confessed that they arrived in the city on Thursday afternoon and their reception “was beautiful.”
The first to speak was Ricky: “We have eaten very well, they have treated us very well. It is always cool to see a new place that you have not been to and knowing that your music has reached here is a huge source of pride.” .
“I can’t believe that we’ve been dreaming for so many years in places like Torreón and we’re finally here,” Mau added.
Regarding what they would do tomorrow (yesterday) and the day after tomorrow (today) in reference to the lyrics of their song titled Past Tomorrow, they responded with laughter and pride that they would be at the Coachella festival, at the invitation of Carin León.
The boys almost confessed the date of their next album Hotel Caracas, a project that means for them a work of reconnecting with their origins in their native Venezuela, but what they did announce as a scoop is that the release could be next month. Mau shared that returning to Caracas was a process of healing his childhood wounds: “My country is one of the most beautiful countries on the entire planet.”
The album includes 16 videos recorded precisely in his native country.
Before going on stage, they expressed feeling nostalgic since it was the last dates of their tour and they had to say goodbye to their current repertoire.
THEY RECEIVE A “VERY LAGUNERO” GIFT
This publishing house gave them a teddy bear with a red ribbon with the print “El Siglo de Torreón” and a couple of souvenirs, including the characteristic scale Cristo de las Noas.
