In this session, our resident CRISTÓBAL LEÓN will present a timeline that recounts the personal journey that has brought him to this point in his artistic career.
CRISTÓBAL LEÓN (Santiago, 1980) is a Chilean screenwriter, director, and visual artist. As a duo with Joaquín Cociña, he has written and directed the feature films “La Casa Lobo” (2019) and “Los Hiperbóreos” (2024). They have also created video art pieces and music videos for artists such as Thom Yorke and PJ Harvey. He is participating in the ALGA Film Residency with his third film “El Huracán”. He wrote the script for this project with Julieta Morales and it is the first feature film he will direct alone.
Moderated by Cristián Jiménez, Artistic Director, and Úrsula Budnik, Executive Director of ·ALGA·. The event will be simultaneously streamed on the ·ALGA· YouTube channel.
