Master actress Fatma Karanfil was sent off on her last journey

Fatma Karanfil, the character of Şayeste in the TV series Aşk-ı Memnu, who had been treated for cancer for a while and was intubated on May 25, died at the age of 72. A funeral ceremony was held for the master actor at Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha Mosque.

Condolences were received by Karanfil’s nieces, Aslı Karanfil, Elif Karanfil, and their spouses and children. In addition to family members, State Theaters General Director Tamer Karadağlı, Ministry of Culture and Tourism Cinema General Director Birol Güven, actress Hülya Koçyiğit, actress Pınar Altuğ and their loved ones attended the ceremony.

Accepting his condolences, his niece Elif Karanfil said, “He had cancer, it relapsed but did not show any symptoms. In the last 1.5 months, we learned that the cancer had spread completely. Unfortunately, we are here today. You all already knew that in a period of 1.5 months, he was first examined, then hospitalized, intensive care and intubated.” “Unfortunately, we lost it within 10 days,” he said.

State Theaters General Manager Tamer Karadağlı, who did not leave Fatma Karanfil, with whom he starred in the TV series Çocuklar Duymasın, alone during her last journey, said, “We are very sorry, we are losing these values ​​one by one. Fatma sister was also someone I knew very well. We worked together for a long time. We were together in ‘Children Duymasın’. “She was playing Dominant’s mother and we were laughing a lot. She was a brilliant person. She was very professional, very cheerful, full of life, and an exemplary actress.”

Actress Pınar Altuğ, with whom she starred in the TV series ‘Children Duymasın’, said, “She was very precious to all of us. Losses always hurt a lot. Fatma sister was someone who had a very special place for me. Because I was 17 years old when I met Fatma sister, even younger. She is the same as my mother.” They were working at the workplace. Then, when I first started modeling, I worked as a rehearsal model in the textile company where she worked. Therefore, I was very young when we met. Years later, when the children heard about her, I said to Birol, ‘Look, there is someone who looks just like her mother. I know her. We knocked on Fatma’s door at that time. We had the opportunity to work together for years. Of course, it is very sad to be here today. I haven’t had such an opportunity since I received the news that she was sick. Unfortunately, in the rush of life, we sometimes miss things. “We are all working separately, we are all running separately. We are here to do our last duty,” he said.
