Master actor Ahmet Uğurlu passed away

Eşref Saati, Behzat Ç. Master actor Ahmet Uğurlu, who took part in successful productions such as Yol Ayrımı and was also the older brother of Mustafa Uğurlu, passed away. Following the death of Uğurlu, who had been treated for cancer for a while, famous names were quick to share the news. Ahmet Uğurlu’s funeral will take place from Şakirin Mosque tomorrow at noon prayer.

The news of the actor’s death was given by his colleague Zafer Algöz. Posting a condolence message, Algöz said, “We have lost our great artist and valuable brother, Ahmet Uğurlu. The first actor of our Çobanbey neighborhood of our childhood and youth. The source of inspiration for all of us… May God rest his soul. My condolences to all of us. It is a great loss.”

Cem Yılmaz, who received the news of Ahmet Uğurlu’s death, said, “May our childhood friends, the uncle of my brother Taner and brother Tuna, the brother of our brother Mustafa, our dear elder brother Ahmet Uğurlu, rest in peace. I wish patience to his family and all his loved ones. He was our youth hero, may he rest in peace.”

EKREM İMAMOĞLU PUBLISHED A CONDOLENCE MESSAGE

Following Uğurlu’s death, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu also published a condolence message and said, “May God have mercy on the master theatre, cinema and TV series actor Ahmet Uğurlu, to whom we received the news of his death with sadness, and I offer my condolences to his family, friends and our art community.”

WHO IS AHMET UĞURLU?

Ahmet Uğurlu, known as a Turkish theater and cinema actor, was born on August 2, 1952 in Konya. After studying in Bursa from primary school to high school, he entered the Painting Department of Gazi University. He started acting by chance and started playing secondary roles at Bursa State Theatre. Later, he studied at Ankara Hacettepe State Conservatory and took part in many plays in the state theater for thirteen years. Ahmet Uğurlu, who had his first cinema experience with the movie Mine directed by Atıf Yılmaz, won many local and foreign awards. He is the older brother of Mustafa Uğurlu, who is also an actor.
