MEXICO CITY (apro).– Several tornadoes hit the state of Nebraska, in the United States, this Friday, and the Meteorological Service of that country issued several warnings for the west of the Omaha metropolitan area.
In the afternoon, a massive tornado was seen north of Lincoln after warnings were issued in the area of Interstate 80 between Lincoln and Omaha.

According to Douglas County Emergency Services, Friday’s tornado caused severe damage in western Douglas County, with multiple homes damaged and residents displaced.
According to authorities, there are no reports of deaths or serious injuries so far.

The Nebraska Department of Transportation said storm damage is being assessed across the state and recommended extreme precautions, as well as that the population remain alert for downed power lines and debris.
According to the National Weather Service, at least three other tornadoes have been reported since Thursday in Kansas, Wyoming and Colorado.

In addition, thunderstorms and strong gusts of wind are expected over the mid-Mississippi Valley and the central and southern plains tomorrow, Saturday, according to USA Today.
