Two dead, two wounded in attack south of Tel Aviv

A 66-year-old woman and a 70-year-old man were killed and two others injured in a Palestinian stabbing attack in the Israeli town of Holonon the periphery about Tel Avivemergency medical services reported.

This stabbing occurs at the height of tensions in the country following the death of the leader of the Hamas terrorist group, Ismail Haniyeh, after which the Islamist organization called on the population of the West Bank to “make the (Israeli) occupation and its allies pay the price for their crimes”among other messages praising the use of violence.

The 66-year-old woman was declared dead at the scene of the attack by the Magen David Adom emergency service; while the 70-year-old man, who was in critical condition, died shortly after in the hospital Wolfston de Holon.

The injured are a 68-year-old in serious condition and a 26-year-old man in moderate condition.

Magen David Adom personnel arrived at the scene to treat the four people and attempted to resuscitate the elderly woman, but were only able to confirm her death; the rest were transferred to Wolfson Hospital in Holon.

The attacker attacked the victims in three different placesat a distance of about 500 metres from each other, according to emergency service spokesmen.

The 26-year-old man was found conscious near a bus station, the elderly woman was in a park, as was the 68-year-old man, while the 70-year-old man was found on Moshe Dayan Street in the town.
