Previously on May 4, many people near Bau Sen Lake reported mass fish deaths and a foul smell. The amount of dead fish reached up to a ton, mainly tilapia and carp.

After receiving information, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Binh Dinh province sent functional forces to inspect and clean up dead fish carcasses at Bau Sen lake.
