Your mother Lenka Termerová she said she didn’t want you to be an actress.

“She didn’t want to. In retrospect, I understand my mother’s concern. He knows the field and knows its dark side. A parent always wants his child to be exposed to the least possible amount of suffering. But it’s a fact that when I started working after that, when I was kicked out of school and I started filming and acting in the theater, my parents saw how much I love it, that it fulfills me, and maybe I have some prerequisites for it.”

“Yes, she played queen and mother to me. Director Vladimír Drha he was a classmate of dad’s (director Moris Issa – editor’s note) and mom’s best friend so he cast me without doing any camera test with me. I was pretty pale, I already smoked and didn’t have a very healthy complexion, and he really needed a girl who looked like she hadn’t been in the sun for a long time… Mom says how stressed she was and pretended to we don’t belong Naďa Konvalinková played my nanny, so it was she who gave me such advice to a more experienced colleague. On the contrary, your last role so far is Andrea in the television series Prima Call my agent. Is the system of agents who represent acting stars more common in the world, or has it already arrived in the Czech Republic?

“Now yes. When I started out and a guy said he was represented by an agent, producers tended to roll their eyes. But I think that’s right. The artist is supposed to deal with the artistic side of things, and having someone handle the operational stuff for you makes everything easier.”

Do you have your own agent?

“Not yet, but something is brewing!”

Can you fight for yourself?

“That depends on the circumstances. I think it’s important to clearly define the space at the beginning. Unfortunately, I can’t read contracts at all. I can read the words, but something happens to them on the way to my head and I am unable to understand their meaning. So a lawyer reads everything for me.”

Have you ever been given a script that you really liked, but they couldn’t offer you the conditions to accept it?

“That didn’t happen to me. When I liked a scenario, I accepted even terrible conditions.’

Do the contracts also address, for example, whether you will undress in the film? Is nudity acceptable to you?

“I’ve experienced it a few times. It’s not exactly my favorite discipline, but if I feel it will serve the cause and it’s in place, I’m able to get away with it. But I’m getting to an age where it won’t be so relevant anymore…”

Your cousin Klára Issová also stars in the series. What is your relationship like? It was said that you were lovers in love, because she also once dated your husband David Ondříček?

“We weren’t slobs. More was written than happened, that’s how it is. Klára lived with David, they broke up, some time passed and then David and I met and started living together. It didn’t leave any stain on my relationship with Klára, Klára is my blood and I always like to see her.”

What’s next for you?

“In this period of my life, I said to myself that after years of working a lot, the time has come that my daughters need me. So I ordered a break of at least a year, when I will focus on myself and my family. I don’t shoot anything, I don’t try new productions. But the ones I tried, I play.”
