Martha Isabel Bolaños achieved fame in the nineties with her character as Jenny García, in Yo soy Betty, la fea. From there, her name became known internationally and she established herself as one of the most outstanding talents on Colombian television.
After that moment of glory, he tried to maintain success with other jobs and participated in renowned productions, such as Francisco, el mathematician, El man es Germán or El capo 3. His roles, in the vast majority, were that of the “bomb sexy” of the story.
According to Martha Isabel, this identification forced her to maintain optimal physical condition, but over time she obtained other roles to continue in the spotlight.
In this process, the actress from Valle del Cauca traveled to the United States looking for new opportunities for her career. “I remember 20 years ago when I lived in Chicago. There I had many jobs while pursuing my American dream, and one of my favorites was working as a host at a very popular Italian restaurant in a suburb called Evanston. Likewise, she feels fulfilled for having made a career in her own country and she considers that this has been a resounding success in her personal sphere, focusing on her professional goals.
“If I had stayed, I would have won a casting and I wouldn’t be here. I returned to Colombia, I went to the ‘Island of the Famous’ and the most important part of my career began, those are the decisions,” he added, referring to the good times he has had in front of the cameras after repatriating.
Finally, the artist made an invitation to reflect, sharing her own experience and defining that in life there are decisions that have to be made yes or yes. “This life is so short and has so many possibilities that you have to go with it,” concluded the woman from Cali.
