Market Links: Support for Revival has fallen below 10% – 2024-02-12 00:50:37

“Vazrazhdane” is experiencing a serious drop in support, it is clear from the study published on Friday by the agency “Market Links”, prepared on behalf of bTV.

According to the survey, support for “Vazrazhdane” is 9.9%, and the party is already arguing for fourth place with the BSP, which collects 8.5%. In the last parliamentary elections, “Vazrazhdane” won 14.16% of the votes.

The overwhelmingly first political force continues to be GERB with 23.8%, second is PP-DB, which gathers support from 17.2%. The center-right coalition also paid a significant price for its stay in the assembly, gathering 24.5% of the vote in the elections.

Due to the decline of “Vazrazhdane”, the third political force is again DPS with 12.1%. The fifth political force in the country is ITN with 3.8%, which gives a chance to get into the parliament in case of early elections. For now, it seems that Slavi Trifonov’s party will not be able to send a representative to the European Parliament.

There is no major change in trust in political leaders. President Rumen Radev continues to have the highest level of trust (40%), followed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maria Gabriel with 28%, GERB leader Boyko Borisov with 24% and Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov with 24%.

Among the other leaders of the political parties, Slavi Trifonov (“There is such a people”) and Kostadin Kostadinov (“Vazrazhdane”) have the same approval rating – 17%. Next are the leaders of “We continue the change” Kiril Petkov and Asen Vassilev – respectively, both with 15% trust.

“Slavi Trifonov continues to have a good rating. In general, the relationship between ITN and him was broken long ago, and he can no longer overflow from this public political resource he has for the party. And it looks literally on the verge of survival in case of possible successors elections”, commented sociologist from “Market Links” Dobromir Zhivkov.

BSP leader Kornelia Ninova has 14% approval, as does Democratic Bulgaria co-chairman Hristo Ivanov. The leader of the DPS parliamentary group, Delyan Peevski, has 8% confidence.

“Trust in the National Assembly is gradually decreasing. The Parliament remains an arena of violent political battles. Sometimes they come to physical clashes, which cannot be justified by the Bulgarian citizens”, commented Dobromir Zhivkov.

Confidence in the parliament is 11%, while the rating of the government shows a small change of 2% in a positive direction to 22%.

The data are from a national survey, financed and realized jointly by bTV and “Market Links”, conducted among 1016 persons over 18 years of age in the country in the period January 26 – February 4 using the methods of direct personal interview and online survey.
