Minister of the General Secretariat of the Presidency, Márcio Mâcedo (PT), has appointed former MST coordinator Kelli Mafort as executive secretary of the department. The appointment came after Maria Fernanda Ramos Coelho resigned from her post due to differences with the head of the department.
Maria Coelho refused to authorize the use of public money pay for three servers to travel to Aracaju for an off-season Carnival party. With the refusal of the then executive secretary, the minister himself signed the travel authorization, paid for by the treasury.
According to Márcio Mâcedo, the new executive secretary “demonstrated management capacity at the helm of the National Secretariat for social dialogue and the articulation of public policies from January 2023″. On social media, Kelli Mafort thanked her for her nomination and said she approaches it with “immense joy and a sense of responsibility.”

The private agenda of the three public employees, authorized by Minister Márcio Mâcedo, took place from November 3 to 5 and cost the public coffers a total of R$18,559.27. The employees, an advisor, a general coordinator and a project manager of the department, would accompany the head of the department to the pre-Caju, a street party in the capital Sergipe.
After the discovery of the case, the ministry informed that it had opened an investigation to investigate the purchase of tickets. “There was a formal error on the part of my office, a procedural error, which will never be repeated”Macêdo said in a press conference on Thursday 11 January at the Palácio do Planalto.
The investigation was opened on the same day that the Public Prosecutor at the Federal Audit Court (MPTCU) asked the court to open an investigation into the case.
