The third series of MotoGP 2024 will take place at COTA on April 12-15. The circuit, which is 3,792km long, is considered to be Marquez’s favorite track, because he was able to achieve seven wins during his MotoGP career.

Different from previous years, Marquez will try to take advantage of the toughness of the Ducati Desmosedici GP23 which helped Francesco Bagnaia become MotoGP champion last season. Moreover, the racer from Spain showed good performance in the first two series by finishing fourth in Qatar and second place in the Portuguese MotoGP sprint race.

Marquez realized that COTA was a circuit that suited him and had fond memories. The 31 year old racer is targeting his first podium this season, when he appears at the 2024 United States MotoGP.

“Yes, I am aware that this is one of the circuits that historically and its layout suits me best. We’ll see if we can achieve the first podium in a long race, that will be the target I will sign now,” said Marc Marquez quoted from Motosan, Friday (12/4/2024).

Meanwhile, Marquez admitted that he had not spoken to anyone about the period, even though there were many rumors that he would become a Ducati Lenovo racer for MotoGP 2025. However, he admitted that his goal was to have fun and would try to achieve maximum results at COTA, if he got the results according to the target. then he will talk about his future at Ducati.

“I haven’t spoken to anyone, I’m focused on working well on the track that’s where you can get maximum power. The first goal is to have fun, I’ve achieved that in Qatar and Portimao, and I’ll try to achieve that here (COTA),” he explained.

“If I can do it in three races, it will look different. And from there, the sooner the better, we will start talking with the team,” he concluded.
