BANDUNG – Persib Bandung midfielder, Marc Klok admitted, he was sad because he was not called to defend the Indonesian National Team in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.

Garuda squad will undergo the third round 2026 World Cup Qualification against Saudi Arabia on September 6, 2024 and Australia on September 10, 2024.

Nevertheless, the naturalized midfielder from the Netherlands still respects the decision of coach Shin Tae-yong. This decision makes him have to work hard again so that he can be called back to the Indonesian National Team.

“I have to work again so that I will be called back. I believe in the national team, I will support it and hopefully the results will be good because these are two important games. The Indonesian national team has a good squad,” he said.

The player whose full name is Marc Anthony Klok was born in Amsterdam on April 20, 1993, has recorded 25 appearances for the Indonesian national team and scored 4 goals. Marc Klok earned his first cap on June 1, 2022, in a friendly match against Bangladesh which ended in a 0–0 draw.
