North-South passenger trains and trains from Hanoi to Hai Phong will temporarily suspend operations during the time Typhoon Yagi makes landfall.
According to an announcement from Vietnam Railway Corporation, Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company will cancel 10 trains to avoid super typhoon Yagi.
The trains that must be canceled include train SE11 departing from Hanoi on September 9 and 10 and train SE12 departing from Ho Chi Minh City on September 11 and 12; train LP5/HP2, train LP8/7 on September 7; train HP1, LP2 on September 8 and train NA1/NA2 on September 7.

Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company also canceled trains SE12 departing on September 9-10 and SE11 on September 11-12.
On the same day, Vietnam Railways Corporation issued a dispatch requesting units to inspect vulnerable and unsafe locations; strictly patrol and set up guard posts at vulnerable locations; and prepare plans to be ready to deal with any bad situations when there is a big storm.
Transport units must have emergency plans, plans to transport passengers, provide food, essential supplies, and medicine for passenger trains in areas prone to traffic disruption; ensure absolute safety for passengers, goods, and vehicles.
