Some people in the same hometown as her, they are all in difficulty. “Today is the May 1st holiday, it’s not clear if the company has urgent orders but still forced workers to go to work. After the incident, some victims’ families did not have money to send them back to their hometowns,” Ms. Soc said.
Horrible screams
Meanwhile, some workers at the wood company this morning are still haunted by the explosion that occurred on the morning of May 1.
Mr. Chau Da (32 years old) an employee of Binh Minh Company said that at 7:30 am, he went to the company to work with more than 10 other people. He was in charge of the splicing machine (joining the trees together), the victims of the explosion were in charge of sawing the trees, next to the steam tank.
His workshop is separated from the boiler by many packages stacked on top of each other. At the time of the explosion, he and everyone present fell to the ground, chest tight.
When the steam tank exploded, he ran out and saw part of the factory next door collapsed. The workers were pushed to one corner by the force of the explosion, and some of their bodies were no longer intact.

According to Mr. Da, the steam boiler that exploded was used to get heat to dry wood. “I’m familiar with the people who died. Today is a holiday, but the company still requires employees to go to work. My motorbike, about 30 meters away from the explosion scene, was also damaged,” Mr. Da said.
The explosion affected many surrounding houses. Ms. Tran Thi Tra (30 years old, living in Dong Nai), was still shocked when talking about the explosion. At around 8:00 a.m., Ms. Tra had just returned home from the market. While preparing to cook food, a loud explosion came from the company next door, less than 200 meters from the house where she lived, causing her to panic, grab her children and run away.
“The loud explosion made my house shake. Afraid that the house would collapse, I quickly grabbed my child and ran outside. At this time, the whole sky was covered with smoke and dust, I could not see the road. Luckily, my whole family was okay. However, the explosion caused some cracks to appear in the house,” Ms. Tra said.
After Ms. Tra, many people living next to this factory area fled. Mr. Van Chuc (35 years old, living in Dong Nai) said that after the explosion, many workers inside the company also ran to the empty lot in front of the wood factory.
“I looked through the fence and saw workers inside screaming and crying, many people lying around. The corrugated iron roof in front and above the factory collapsed, debris flying everywhere,” Mr. Chuc said.

Meanwhile, Ms. Tram (22 years old), a relative of an explosion victim, shared that her family came from Soc Trang to Dong Nai and worked at this company for 2 years. This morning, she was sitting at home, suddenly hearing the news that her uncle was injured by a boiler explosion. Tram still couldn’t recover.
“Now I can’t go inside. I don’t know how injured my uncle was when the explosion happened. Every month he earns about 15 million. During the holidays, he takes the opportunity to stay and earn more to help his family.” , I didn’t expect things to turn out like that,” Ms. Tram shared.
At around 8:30, an explosion occurred at Binh Minh Company (Vam hamlet, Thien Tan commune), killing 6 people on the spot and injuring 7 people. The victims were workers working at a furniture factory.
Vinh Cuu District Police (Dong Nai) confirmed the identities of 6 victims who died in the gas cylinder explosion that occurred at Binh Minh Company, including:
1. Lo Van Lon (37 years old) is from Na Bo commune, Mai Son district, Son La province.
2. Luong Van Hung (32 years old) is from Dong Van commune, Que Phong district, Nghe An province.
3. Tran Van Nguyen (38 years old) is from Cam Son commune, Luc Ngan district, Bac Giang province.
4. Tran Van Cuong (39 years old) is from Vinh Binh commune, Hoa Binh district, Bac Lieu province.
5. Xie Zhenlong (34 years old, Chinese nationality).
6. Son Ngoc Thuy (33 years old) is from Lam Tan commune, Lam Tri district, Soc Trang province.
7 injured people were taken to Dong Nai General Hospital and Thong Nhat General Hospital for treatment.
