A young man named Abdul Mannan was killed in a road accident in Naogaon’s Mahadevpur. His sister Iti Akhtar was injured in the incident.
The accident happened on Friday (March 15) around 8:30 am in the Dimjaun area of the upazila.
The deceased Mannan is the son of Idris Ali of Chhatra Jinpur village of Niamatpur upazila.
Injured Iti Akhtar said that they two siblings were going from home to Naogaon city to take part in teacher registration examination with motorcycle. On their way to Dimjaun area, a minitruck coming from the opposite direction hit their motorcycle. Abdul Mannan died on the spot. Locals rescued Iti Akhtar and took him to the hospital. He was given first aid there.
Iti also said that Abdul Mannan works in a private company. His workplace was in Benapole, Jessore. He came to the village on vacation with the dream of becoming a teacher in his area. Today both of them were going to take the teacher registration exam. Naogaon Government College had their examination center. The accident happened on the way.
Mahadevpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ruhul Amin confirmed the death of the young man in the road accident.
He told Jago News that the body has been handed over to the relatives. Legal action is under process in this incident.
