Shehbaz Taseer, the son of former Punjab Governor Salman Taseer, who was in the custody of militants for five years, is going to fulfill the dream he had in prison after his abduction.
Shahbaz Taseer has said that he is a big fan of Manchester United and has been invited by the club he dreamed of 12 years ago.
Shahbaz Taseer said in his post on X, ‘I had been in prison for a year and a half when a guard brought a radio so we could listen to live football matches. I heard my team win a record 20th Premier League title and heard the news that manager Sir Alex Ferguson had retired.
‘I think there will be few moments in my life where I have cried, but this time I cried because God found a way to honor me where I was put to torture.’
“I remember saying to the guard ‘I’m going home and I’m going to be invited to Old Trafford,'” he wrote, recalling further memories from the past.
‘At which he laughed and said, ‘An impossible dream.’

Shehbaz Taseer was abducted from near his home in Lahore in 2011 when the then Governor of Punjab and his father Salman Taseer were shot dead by one of his bodyguards a few months earlier.
According to Shahbaz Taseer’s interview with the BBC, he was imprisoned by militants from Uzbekistan and then by the Afghan Taliban. 2016 was executed.
