Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in West Bengal on a two-day visit. Despite political differences, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee met Modi following state protocol.

After meeting at Arambagh on Friday, Prime Minister Modi went to Raj Bhavan in Kolkata in the afternoon. After this, Chief Minister Mamata went to meet Modi at Raj Bhavan.

After the meeting, Mamata said that the election date has not been announced yet. When the Prime Minister or the President comes to the state, it is a courtesy call. That is why I went to meet the Prime Minister.

Mamata said, I met the Prime Minister when I came to the Raj Bhavan. I also talked about the state. And I told the story. There is less talk of politics, more stories.

The Chief Minister was asked whether there was any discussion with the Prime Minister about the ‘dues’ to the Centre. He said, yes, I have said what I have to say about all that.
