It is the best remedy for cold and cough as it is very soothing to the throat. We have been buying only local chicken for the last 2 years and after a few months we started liking it with the skin.
Material
1/4 kg local chicken I used with skin
1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
1/4 cup small onion
1 small tomato
1/8 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
2 cups water
1 tbsp coriander leaves
salt to taste
to get angry
1 tablespoon gingelly oil
1/2 inch cinnamon
1 small cardamom
not 1 clove
some curry leaves
grind together
1/2 tsp coriander seeds
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp black pepper
3 pieces small onion
Some water
Method
– First of all, grind the ingredients listed under ‘To grind’ together with some water to form a thick paste and keep aside.
– In a pressure cooker: Add the items listed under ‘For seasoning’, let it splutter, then add ginger garlic paste, onion and salt.
Fry for 2 minutes until golden, then add tomatoes and fry until soft. Then add chicken along with turmeric powder and red chili powder.
– Fry for 3 minutes. Then add coarse mixture to it, fry for some time and then add water. Adjust salt if necessary.
– Pressure cook till 5-6 whistles. Let the pressure release on its own, then garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot!
