Life Style: Dahi Aloo Chaat- Potato is the most popular vegetable in the world. We don’t have to think much about how to use potatoes as there are countless dishes to make from potatoes. In fact most Indian street foods are made from potatoes. Side dishes, snacks, curries and even sweets can be made from potatoes.
I love chaat made from potatoes, many of which I have already posted. But these recipes require some pre-planning, stir-frying or deep frying. As we all know that if potatoes are fried then they become rich in calories, and boiled potatoes do not have so many calories so it can be used easily and guilt-free.
Material
3 small size potatoes/boiled potatoes
1 cup curd/curd
Salt as per taste
1/2 tsp red chilli powder/lal mirch powder
1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder/jeera powder
1/4 tsp black salt
2 tbsp tamarind chutney/imli chutney
2 tbsp green mint chutney/green chutney
a pinch of sugar/sugar
Method
– Peel the boiled potatoes and cut them into small cubes.
– Take curd in a bowl and beat it well.
– Add sugar, salt and black salt to curd and mix well.
– Add chopped potatoes to curd.
– Let it soak for 15 minutes.
Now serve in separate serving bowls.
– Sprinkle chilli powder and roasted cumin powder over it.
– Sprinkle some tamarind chutney, mint chutney and pomegranate seeds.
– Best served cold.
