Magaly Medina spoke out after UCV’s statement

Television host Magaly Medina spoke out following a statement from Cesar Vallejo University.

Through the broadcast of her program, television presenter Magaly Medina commented on the recent statement of the Cesar Vallejo University (UCV)due to the conflict generated with the footballer Paolo Guerrero. This situation erupted after the match on Saturday, July 13, against the blue and white team, which corresponds to the first date of the Clausura Tournament of the League 1.

After that, the host decided to break down the club’s statement and pointed out that the former national team player had shared with the board his intention to unilaterally terminate his contract with the club, which would entail penalties that he must assume.

Likewise, Medina stressed that the UCV has made clear the conditions for the official disassociation of the contract with Paul Guerreroindicating that they will be governed by strict respect for current national legislation and internal regulations, prioritizing respect for the institution.

The businesswoman also mentioned that after a statement from the club, it was stated that Guerrero’s early departure has had a considerable impact on its economy, since he had signed a one-year contract, and his departure in the middle of the championship has affected both ticket sales and agreements with sponsors and patrons. However, the club faces a contractual penalty whose exact amount is not yet known, but which could reach significant figures, possibly up to two million dollars.

“But they have already said it clearly, they have already passed on to Paolo Guerrero all the economic impact that would be on the club, which does exist because he played for a year, they are halfway through the championship, he has not played. That is an impact on the box office, it is an impact on the sponsors, the backers, everyone who invested thinking that he would stay for a whole year. So, that contractual penalty will be passed on to him. How much will it be? We don’t know,” said the presenter.
