The president of the Malagasy Olympic Committee, Siteny Randrianasoloniaiko, carried the colors of Madagascar high during the international summit “ Russia: Country of Sports“, held in Moscow under the theme “ Sport Without Borders : New Opportunities for Cooperation“, or sport without borders: new opportunities for cooperation. In his speech, he stressed that sport is a vector of unity and reconciliation, far from conflicts, but based on mutual respect. “ As in judo, respect is the basis, perseverance is the strength, and mutual assistance is the goal “, he said in front of an audience of international delegations. He also highlighted the fundamental values of sport: justice, wisdom, courtesy, trust and solidarity, as pillars of a peaceful and prosperous society. These principles, according to him, must guide young Malagasy people towards a better future. Siteny Randrianasoloniaiko expressed his gratitude to the Russian government for its warm welcome and the opportunity offered to Madagascar to participate in this global dialogue. He launched a vibrant appeal to Malagasy youth: “Let us raise our flag through sport and the noble values it embodies. » And to conclude forcefully that “ it’s not the victory that matters most, but the respect and freedom to bring people together through sport ».
